Ellie + Alex An Intimate Tuesday Wedding: Downtown Canal + St. Elmo's Private Party
So excited to share this unique and STUNNING wedding with you all! This past July, I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Ellie + Alex’s wedding. Their wedding wasn’t the typical kind of wedding I shoot. Their wedding was on a Tuesday. Yes – a Tuesday, and I loved every second of it.
Essentially Ellie + Alex decided to ditch their initial wedding plans and opted instead for a much more intimate setting. They had a short ceremony on the canal downtown with their closest friends and family followed by a private party at St. Elmo’s downtown. There were less than 15 people there – so small and intimate. How about I take you along to relive some of my favorite moments from their day? Sound good?
Ellie’s style is certainly on point so you can imagine my delight when I saw her pops of color and sparkly Louboutin heels?! I’m sorry, whattt? Her details, as I said, were on point and her look was chic. She even had personalized match boxes made. How cool is that? Getting dolled up! I love quiet moments like this with a bride on her wedding day. Then over to spend some time with Alex as he got ready.Looking so handsome. First look 🙂 Man I loved how intimate this was proving it’s not where or what day of the week you get married, it’s who all is there by your side when it happens.Looking back, I think there ceremony truly was less than 5 minutes!and then….MARRIED! I love this shot so so so so much! The whole gang. How awesome!Ellie and a bestie! So good to meet you, Eloise! Look at these two, would ya? Aren’t they beautiful together?!This light tho! Man I’m missing summer now… I haven’t mentioned this yet, but Ellie and I have known each other since we were young. We went to the same pool growing up and definitely have crossed paths over the years. I was so honored to photograph her as a bride.Especially when she looks this amazing. Hair goals, for sure.LOVEEEEE! Hold up! We’ve shared some of the lipstick 🙂Now on to St. Elmo’s for a celebration! I wish that photo of their cake from Cake Bake did it justice. That thing was HUGE and I’m still wishing I had a piece! Ellie’s brother, Peter, played guitar and say Vance Joy’s “Mess is Mine” for their first dance. I’m pretty sure he taught himself the song overnight, too. This kind of talent blows me away! In all of my years photographing weddings, I’ve never seen anything quite like this setting. It was so special.Go on and get it girl!Ended with a few photos outside…
What a good day. So grateful to have photographed it all!
Are you engaged? Would love to hear all about your wedding day plans! 🙂
